Solfest is created by an incredibly talented and hard working team of crew and volunteers. A lot of us work throughout the year planning and creating the amazing four day party for you all. We know that it is the crew that truly are the beating heart of Solfest and without their loyalty and dedication Solfest simply wouldn’t exist. We also value and respect those of you who choose to come and volunteer with us the few weeks leading up to the festival and choose to work while the event is ‘live’ and help us take it all down and pack it away until the following year.
We created the Crew and Volunteer Hub to provide a space for our hard working crews and volunteers to relax, unwind and socialise in. We think it is the least we can do to say ‘thank you’. The Hub is based in the Crew Camping area and includes the Crew Catering space where Chef Leo keeps us fuelled with delicious food. Mackie hosts an Open Mic and in 2023 we will have a Medieval themed dry space for people to relax and chat and get to know each other. The Crew Tuck Shop will be back this year for all festival essentials.
The Hub has a dedicated crew who are there every day until late at night to provide you with all the practical information you will need about the festival and your volunteering role but more than anything they are there to support you and ensure that the space has a great vibe and that everyone feels safe and valued. Solfest is unique in providing such a great space for our crews and volunteers and we hope this demonstrates how much we value you.
Some of the Crew and Volunteer Coordination Team: Raz, Mackie, Nikki and Juliette. We also have Rebecca, Shelby, Steph and Finn joining us this year.
