Where is Solfest?
Solfest is held at: North Lakes Country Park, Silloth, Cumbria, CA7 4NQ.
The park benefits from breathtaking views of the Northern Lake District and well as clear views over the Solway Firth and over to the mountains situated in Dumfries and Galloway.
We are 4 miles from the coastal town of Silloth, which is bustling with cafes, shops and some lovely pubs and restaurants.
By Car
Traveling South to Solfest:
From Carlisle, take the A595 south until you reach Thursby roundabout.
Then take the A596 signposted Workington / Aspatria.
Follow the A596 for approximately 10 miles then take a right turn signed Langrigg / Westnewton.
Continue on Gillmorend Brow for approx. 3 miles until the junction with the B5301.
Turn right and follow the B5301 for approx. 1.8 miles to the Solfest Site!
Travelling North to Solfest:
Exit the M6 at Junction 41 then take the B5305 signposted Wigton.
Turn right continuing on the B5305 signposted Town Centre
After 0.3 miles at the Monument, turn left onto the B5302 then follow to the junction with the A596.
Turn left onto A596 signed Aspatria for approximately 4 miles then take a right turn signed Langrigg / Westnewton.
Continue on Gillmorend Brow for approx. 3 miles until the junction with the B5301.
Turn right and follow the B5301 for approx. 1.8 miles to the Solfest Site!
From West / South Cumbria:
From the A595 take the B5301 signposted Aspatria or A596 to Aspatria
Turn left by the Petrol Station and follow the B5301 for approx. 4 miles to the Solfest Site!

The nearest train station to the festival site is Aspatria. From there you can either take our bus shuttle or grab a taxi.

Bus Shuttle
Solfest is just 15 minutes on the dedicated shuttle bus from Aspatria Railway Station to the festival. Please note in peak times we advise you allow ample time for your journey.
Taxi
The short trip from Aspatria Railway Station to Solfest is roughly 5 miles, and a standard taxi usually cost between £15-£20. It may be extra depending on the time of day, number of passengers and ammount of luggage.
Ride Sharing
Parking
We want your Solfest experience to be as easy and relaxed as possible. Please follow our traffic stewards who will direct you to the correct parking areas. Once parked we request that you do not move your vehicle except in emergency. If you think you will need to leave the site in your vehicle during the festival, we recommend that you set up camp then park your car in the “day parking” area, located near the main gate.
