Gals Who Gig is a group created by Shelby who lives in Cumbria. The aim of the group is to bring women who like to attend live music events together so they don’t have to attend them alone.
The group works like a buddying system. People can advertise the date and location of the event they are planning to go to or would like to attend and people can either connect with others that are going or find someone through the group to go with. Some have organised lift-sharing and others have just met at the gig.
Shelby organises local socials in Cumbria which gives people the opportunity to meet up with others, get to know each other and make plans to attend events together. The Facebook group is private and is vetted and checked. As this is a social group it is only available for women over 18.

Shelby will be joining us at Solfest this year and will arrange get togethers and socials for women who will be attending the festival on their own.
