Solfest Kids Area 2023 is going to be the best kids area ever! We have talented artists who are designing and building our medieval castle and a giant dragon that we hope will stay caged beneath the Kids Area for the duration of the festival, but we can’t promise!
Kids Area favourites Trailer Trash will be back with games, tunes and phone charging for teens.
This year we are really lucky to have both Eden Dance Youth Company and The Circus House Manchester CIC bringing performances and workshops throughout the festival so as well as having lots of fun, you will be getting some seriously top level training!
Eden Dance Youth Company represented the North West in the 2022 UDance nationals at Birmingham NEC. They will be performing in the Kids Area Bigtop as well as on the Sketchy Beats and Melodrome stages.
The Circus House joined us in 2022 and we are delighted to welcome them back for more circus skills, aerial hoop and family acro workshops, plus they will be inspiring us all with their fabulous shows.
Pro Wild will be with us again and they are expanding their ever popular program of outdoor workshops which enthral kids at Solfest year after year whilst teaching them loads about nature and bushcraft.
New for 2023 is The Little Theatre with their miniature black box theatre, props and costumes and will be working with kids to create and perform their very own shows.
Ant is back with his art and craft workshops and we will have workshops where you can make your own musical instruments out of junk. There will be a performance featuring all of the instruments made and their kiddie creators.
There will be yoga for kids and families and…most important of all…the GIANT SANDPIT! And as ever we have the fabulous baby chill out area.
