The Flaps Project at Solfest

August 20, 2026

F.L.A.P.S

FANNIES LISTENING WITH ADVICE AND PEER SUPPORT
Whether you’re an anti-shaver, a crusty raver or you just love that old
festival flava, we all need to play our part in making consent sexy.
Consent is respect, and as the Queen of Soul sang ”R.E.S.P.E.C.T, find out

what it means to me”.

So, come find us. We will put the kettle on.

ON-SITE SUPPORT
Alongside you in the fields, our approachable team are ready when you need us – no waiting on hold on a phone line.
Find our cosy space to chat or chill, where we have room for all at the womb-inn 😉 Whether you’re an attendee, a volunteer, an artist or from a different planet, we are here for everyone.
If you’re needing somewhere more private to disclose, fear not, we have a private space near our tent where our team can take you for a chat and a nice cuppa.
Whether you just want a chat, or you need advice on what to do next after an incident, we are here to support you for as much as you need.

A DESIGNATED TEAM
We will be located near the Welfare tent, as well as on walkabout, and know you will receive informed support, and will be taken seriously.
Our fannies are at the ready to chat to you about all things respect and consent, help you feel safe.
They have all been trained by Rape Crisis Scotland and Good Night Out Campaign

BEHIND THE SCENES
In the run up to the festival we work closely with the festival team, supporting them with their policies, we hold staff training, giving feedback to the best code of conduct for dealing with internal and external incidents.
This is not a performative project, but something we believe that working with festivals so intimately means they are wanting to change the culture from the core out. By the time we arrive, we are already established as the caring aunties in this festival family.
