A News Release Statement Regarding the Current Situation of Solfest 2021.
Hi Everyone,
We hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.
With the recent announcement of government restrictions being lifted on July 19th, we still intend to run Solfest 2021, from August 26-29 2021, without any social distancing measures in place. We have planned an amazing itinerary full of non-stop entertainment and we cannot wait to show it to you all.
We will be consulting with Allerdale environmental health in the next few weeks so that everyone can have a safe and wonderful experience at Solfest. Although we know that July 19th is not set in stone, we are still fortunate enough to have an additional 5 weeks to carefully assess the situation and see how we can move forward.
Thanks to the Cultural Recovery Fund granted by the Arts Council of England, we have been able to get Solfest 2021 up and running, without touching the ticket money of our event attendees.
This means that you will be able to easily roll over your tickets to the next festival or obtain a full refund if the festival is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
On a rather unfortunate note, we have sold out on our Live-in Vehicle passes and have less than 100 tickets left for Thursday Arena + Camping. Also, due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, Echo and the Bunnymen & Melt Yourself Down will not be performing at Solfest 2021. Feeder will replace Echo and the Bunnymen on Sunday, 29th August 2021 and The Maytals Band will replace Melt Yourself Down on Friday, 27th August 2021.
Once Again, on behalf of the whole Solfest team, we thank you for your patience and for being a part of the rather bizarre journey, which is the first half of 2021. We wouldn’t have been able to make it this far without you guys and we can’t wait to give you an August Bank holiday to remember.
See you at Solfest 2021!
Event Directors,
Joe Goulding and Sam R. Johnston
